Wednesday’s Fitness Interval Training class always kills me. It’s basically one hour long ab workout while performing different exercises. I must have held plank at least 15 time throughout the class. We always use a wide variety of equipment including the body bar, sliding disks, step, medicine ball, dumbbells, etc.
I did squats using two resistance bands, three consecutive reps on each leg, mountain climbers, pushups, and other exercises that have no formal name . I already know my body will be feeling it later on this evening.
I felt awful today. All I wanted was a bowl of vanilla ice cream, and to skip my evening workout. My mindset for the entire day was, I don’t care and I’m not going to exercise today. Somehow I didn’t gorge on any unhealthy food and by the time my fitness class rolled around, I got up off my lazy butt and drove to the health club. I couldn’t be happier with my decision. To not give into my cravings and muster up energy to workout feels great.
Note to self, going to the gym will always make me feel better.
