    Waning Weekend.

It appears that I always seem to disappear from Tumblr on the weekends. I work weird hours, and I’m usually way too tired to update.  Therefore, I will review my weekend in bullet form.

    - Finally woke up early enough to attend the 5am boot camp class with my Mom.  Best. Workout. Ever.

    - Got the Canon Rebel t2i. Now I just have to figure out how to use it.

    - Worked out on my own for the first time in forever.

    - Found out that I can easily leg-lift 235 lbs.

    - Both of my parents made delicious homemade meals.

    - Made a different schedule bid, so hopefully I get Saturdays off.

    The End.

I’m a Klutz. Is there a Simpler Way?

Okay, so not too long ago someone on here posted a story/article about doing HIT on the treadmill. Instead of running for an endless amount of time, you do short burst of sprints. The article stated something along the lines of,  you sprint for a short period of time and then take a small breathers on the side of the treadmill. It sounded so much more appealing than jogging at an average speed, for a longer amount of time, so I gave it a go after my fitness class.

Let me tell you, I made a complete fool of myself. There has to be some special technique to gracefully transition to the sides of the treadmill, because my legs were flailing everywhere when I attempted. I almost fell smack on my face, and looks on the runners next to me were priceless. I couldn’t help but laugh at myself.  Is there a proper way to do this?

Side note:  So I generally don’t run on the treadmill,  I know shocker, especially after you read my predicament above, but have you ever experienced someone  try to one-up you, while jogging on the treadmill? I will admit that I like to compete with the person next to me, either trying to keep up or run a tad faster than them, but a girl next to me was blatantly trying to outrun me. She clearly kept  watch at how fast I was going, and every time I would increase my speed, she would too. Maybe I’m looking too much into this.

    Hello, March!

Overall, I think I did pretty well for February. It was my first month back after a short hiatus from working out. I know I still need to work on specific things, but I’ve come a long way in such a short period of time. I worked out five times a week with one exception. Last week, I could only fit in four. I’ve also added more strength training classes, and developed reasonably better eating habits.

    Fitness Goals for March

    - Workout five times a week.

    - Run a timed mile.

    - improve that mile time.

    - Eat veggie-based dinners.

    - Attend one yoga class.

    Non-fitness Related

    - Find a new part-time job for summer.

    - Study for ASVAB, I’ve been seriously slacking.

    - Continue to attend church.

     Oh, hello there.
Makes me smile everytime.
